Founded in 2001, we are the oldest continuously active women's dragon boat team in Philadelphia. We range in age from 24 to 73.  We are spirited women from all walks of life.  We are diva warriors.  We are a floating support system.

Hope Afloat USA’s® mission is to help survivors of breast cancer make positive emotional, spiritual, and physical changes in their lives through the ancient sport of Dragon Boat Racing. We are the first breast cancer survivor dragon boat crew on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Founded in 2001, we are strong survivors ranging in age from 30 to 70+. We are lawyers, nurses, teachers, occupational therapists, doctors, coaches, moms and grandmothers. We have in common the journey that is breast cancer and a passion for the sport of dragon boating.

Join us for competitive racing, fun, fitness and friendship! To become a dragon boat paddler, you need not be a top-notch athlete - you simply need the drive and commitment to get out and enjoy yourself.  The goal of our program is to promote fun, fitness and friendship.
